UMass Lowell offers several online graduate degree programs designed specifically for educators. The courses are highly interactive and are taught by the University's Graduate School of Education faculty. Courses involve a mix of web, email, online chat and other Internet-based resources. Many courses also involve students in site-based projects and build professional learning communities through peer collaboration on line.

Students may take up to four graduate-level courses on a non-matriculated basis after consultation with the program director, Dr. Vera Ossen, who may be contacted at Vera_Ossen@uml.edu.

Online Master's Degree Programs
in Education (M.Ed.)

Educational Administration, M.Ed.
A thirty credit program designed to meet the needs of experienced practitioners who wish to broaden and deepen their professional knowledge.
 

Reading and Language, M.Ed.
For educators who seek to gain the knowledge base required for teachers of reading. 

Curriculum and Instruction, M.Ed.
For experienced educators who are interested in using their knowledge to improve teaching and enhance the curriculum development process within their school system. Students have the option of pursing a general plan of study, or they can pursue a Science Education option for this program.
